I don't know what you guys are talking about. I'm only up to track 2 but I'm liking it (yeah I still have a way to go). I'm a little put off by that part in track 2 with just the violin and then guitar though.. I'm picky.

It's not exactly crap, but, it's Millencolin, i was sure to get song like Home From Home and fast song like Biftek Supernova (one of my favorite song)!

Mathias and Erik use Gibson guitar and it was written on their website ''be prepared for a fat guitar sound''...

oh, im listening to it right now and i've been listening some tracks now, and in my opinion, is not a bad album but isn't also the album i was expecting, definetively i was expecting something else than this, more punk rock songs i guess, it's all all all all pop! yeah there're some catchy songs and some of them could be fine to be played for nikola solo way, but i was expecting something else, im gonna listen it more...

"done is done" begins as "bowmore" first second, haha
"end piece" sounds like something that linkin park did and the chorus of "saved by hell" sounds like a nikolas solo thing song, i cant remember wich one

well...i tried to listen to it carefully but i've never thought about saying this...it was hard not so skip some songs.
this is my opinion on the songs so far , of course this is only my opinion.

01. first of all...the song machine 15 is maybe the worst of the album (no, the worst is absolutly ducks and drakes). I was hoping for a great intro track like no cigar, man or mouse, farewell my hell...something that gives you energy..what da fuck is this machine 15 song?oh gosh...

02. done is done is not a bad song and i like how they tried to experiment things like the violins (a swedish orchestra did the strings) but..give it a second try.

03. detox...ok we know..its the first single its a funny song nothing more.

04. vicious circle...i didnt like it at first but now i think its one of the best songs and you know why?its one of the few songs that has a real millencolin refrain...i mean...u just listen to it some times and it sticks in your head...this is what i wanted from millencolin...
and lyrics are cool also..."should we try to have some kids or shall we just call separated ways? or best yet why don't we move abroad?"

05. broken world...I still have to figure it out yet...its a nice pop song..reminds me of some weezer stuff and refrain is catchy...but lacks in energy in my opinion...mtv here we come!

06. this totally sounds like a motion city soundtrack song : "even if it kills me"...sounds nice...if it was a cover

07. who's laughting now...no doubt its the best song in the album..easely because its the only fucking millencolin style song...it has the ideal vigour most fans were waiting for...not enough a song like this out of 13... great lyrics here

08. brand new game...its a cool song, great idea in the lyrics..this will be their "farewell song" when they'll break up....nikola, we know that you are not the same and years have passed and it's hard to have always fresh ideas and satisfy all the fans..making music is fun but also hard work

09. ducks and drakes...this is the worst song in the album. mid-tempo? no, i guess i listened to it one time...the vocal intro is terrible and the refrain....no, this is not the way..where is millencolin in here? give me back battery check, stalemate and duckpond.

10. turnkey paradise...another poppy song...i personally like at the beginning the part "no doubt that you could go on"...and intro is nice too but the rest of the song lacks in energy, again! (expept maybe for the final verse)
nothing new here

11. route one...i dont like nikola's vocal melodies here...at some he sings (if i get it right) "i've gotta act", it sounds like "what da hell did he say..sounds a blarb"...beside this..i dont like this song

12. now, danger for strangers has the same route one intro...did they listened to the album before mastering it? i mean, larzon...com'on...i was like this :
another poppy song, nice but after you listened to it...i prefer to listen again to whos laughting now then this song..I don't know you...

13. saved by hell...like carl said this would be a good nikola solo album song. great lyrics without no doubt but too weak melodies in my opinion...the refrain doesn't soung good enough to my ears...

random opinions :

in a particular moment of my life i was really looking forward to hear machine 15...it was the right time for some millencolin stuff after 3 years and i was in need of their energy but yes, I don't wanna hide my opinion..this album is not good.
If it was another band I would say "yeah nice stuff...but i go to listen to millencolin now"...but this is millencolin...right?

Nikola is my favourite singer of all time but goddamn, I was expecting something more from him this time...

at least 3 or 4 songs have the same final drum part :
done is done, vicious circle, com'on, brand new game...listen to them, just sharp your ears once and you'll figure it out immediatly.
as said, 2 songs have the same intro...but anyway, I think larzon over all did a good job, better then kingwood...this time he is more "active" behind the drums I think...funny to say this since this is their poppiest album...

Now, I don't really know. maybe the more I listen to it the more i'll like it but I remember that all the previous millencolin albums gave me thrills after the first listening, no one can deny it...this time I'm sorry but it didn't happen.
Were they "worn-out" with solo projects, franky lee and stuff?
I'll keep listening to machine 15 anyway..there must be something good in it...

I was happy for a new Millencolin album, its maybe the last or the last and its not good...

Its not the Millencolin style...

Anyway, i will buy it like all the Millencolin stuff i can get..

The song Bend Emo is not on the album, it will be on a single..

And we miss song from Kingwood, cant wait to get them in the Melancholy Collection 2!

ok, for me this album is not as bad as greg thinks, haha but i was expecting something different, not too many pop songs!!! i mean the whole album is all pop, so soft, its like if the entire album was full of "botanic mistrees" "fuel to the flame" and other poppy songs, it's ok millencolin have done poppy nice songs, but the entire album full of this, i dont know

i think the problem is that all is so soft, i wanted more powerful vigour style, style that millencolin also does perfect

1. Machine 15:
-Bad desicion putting this song as the first, any other position i dont care, but first?!
-Not bad ryhtm, catchy chorus, nothing special but cool

2. Done is done:
-kinda cool when mixing violin, guitar and drums
-kinda boring because is too long, 3:50 and becomes repetitive
-nice sound,

3. Detox:
-Another poppy song, very soft,
-catchy chorus, but is not my favorite
-the rythm is good but reminds me some surf music

4. Vicious circle:
-starts like a taking back sunday song (cant remember wich one)
-yeah seems to have cool lyrics
-nice chorus and rythm

5.Broken world:
-More poppy style, more soft music
-Catchy chorus, sounds nice, some experiments with sounds

6.Come one:
- i dont like this song, too much, i skip it
- for nikola solo project would be fine, not millencolin
- also kinda boring and its too long 3:39

7. Centerpiece:
- excelent if this was the first track and then "whos laughing now" starts as second

8. Whos laughing now:
- damn! is a shame this song isnt the first song of the abum, this song is perfect to start the album, really power and millen style, nice guitar riffs, sound and music, agree with greg, probably the best song, but damn! this one should be the first song! (or second after centerpiece as 1) that would be the perfect start for the album

9. Brand new game:
- cool song, the lyrics are very original
- nice sound, and the chorus rocks!
- i skip this song but only because i've heard it too much before, haha

10. Ducks and Drake:
- dont hate it as much as greg, haha
- Slow wierd song, also would be fine for nikola solo project
- i like how it sounds all the part at 1:50,

11. Turnkey paradise:
- nice song i kinda like it, catchy sound
- nice ryhtm, i really like the chorus,
- the song is pretty well, soft but well done
- remember the video diary, piano part, where erik and mathias are playing it, this is the song, haha

12. Route One:
- too long vocal notes like befoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooore! i dont really like it, sounds bad, can become anoying
- the rythm is fine, but it also bores me too long

13. Danger for stranger:
- I like this song, is poppy but well made
- the chorus sounds good
- soft song that could be played in the radio

14. Saved by hell
- this song probably was made for nikola solo project, but he never did and decided to play it on millencolin
- not a bad song though, but its not millencolin style

15. End piece
- well i never listened the whole 1:32 minutes
- a 30 seconds outro will be better

Finaly, the album is totally different from the others as always, this a very very different millencolin style, its too soft and they abuse of pop in the whole album, it;s not to bad to listening it, actually is very listened album for all ears, but this is not what they used to us

I'll keep listening it, but i was expecting a lot more

yeah the energy is missing, strong guitar riffs, strong chorus, etc. all the guitar riiffs on the album are soft, except for "done is done" and "whos laughing now", but the rest is so calm, oh well...

After few listening, it's not bad, just good but not enough...


I hope if they release a new album soon, it will be stronger and heavier!!! Like Kemp, Farewell My Hell, Into The Maze, Ratboys Masterplan. and more..............................
