hmm... the only new album i bought from a band in 2004 was bad religion's "the empire strikes first" and i thought it was an awesome CD. haven't had the money to actually go out and buy new CD's, but i have some x-mas money left, so i think i'm going to splurge a bit down at the record store.

1. Iced Earth - the Glorius Burden. Awesome melodic heavy metal with (almost)only historical themes. Awesome. 2. Mastodon - Leviathan. Didn't dig the vocals too much, but the theme(the whole album is based on the story of Moby Dick) is just great, and the guitarwork is jawdropping. 3. Sum 41 - Chuck. Great mix of alternative rock and thrashmetal. Not as good as DTLI? in my opinion, but that's mainly down to so-so production. 4. Nikola Sarcevic - Lock Sport Krock. Y'all know wot it's about, I love it. Honorable mention to the System Has Failed by Megadeth, Keep the Faith Dave! Best DVD : Dream Theater - Live at Budokan Iron Maiden - the Early Days Slayer - Still Reigning
