What's your thought about christmas? And how do you celebrate it?
I love christmas, it's great. The music, the food, the family and friends and of course the presents!
Me and my family often celebrate it together with my fathers relatives.

we always have a family meeting, kind of a "party" and then we get presents but not only small presents and we get heaps of food

"So this is Chrismas, I hope you have fun..."
That reminds me of the Dustin accoustic cover of john Lenon. Damn good cover of Dustin, even on summer.

Wow this month flew by quickly. I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner. I was at the bookstore yesterday (my first appearance in a public place other than a hospital ) and I was stoned out of my mind and it felt so strange to see the bookstore being so busy. Duh, it's Christmas and stuff and it isn't the first time I've seen this store busy but it's so great to see the world again. I missed it. I'll probably go to the mall soon (I now hate the mall but...)just to feel the nostalgia and just to feel the Christmas cheer. My family has made Christmas to be this trivial matter. I really miss celebrating it. This year I don't even care about presents. I just want to go see the world again. Everything is oddly familiar yet so new to me. Even when I walked into my house, it was familiar but nearly unrecognizable. I guess it's the drugs that messed me up. I just want to re explore the world I left behind for two weeks.

i understand where milencoolin comes from. most people seem to be hung up on the shopping and gift-giving, the whole capitolist deal. for me, christmas is ok. i use to love it as a kid when my family use to get together and there was a reason to celebrate. now it's just another day. i hate what it's turned into, but really, that's the way i feel about it. i don't have my whole family to celebrate it with, so it's just kind of lame. besides, it was like 80 degrees today in southern california. that really isn't x-mas weather.

You are so right. I can't agree with you more. Ever since I've been in the hospital, my outlook on life has changed. I used to love the presents and such but recently (even before I landed in the hospital)I thought of Buy Nothing Christmas. It sounded like a really good idea considering we're all broke and anyways Christmas is not about presents. Christmas shouldn't be about that. It should be about spending time with your family and having a blast. Unless, you have some relatives you dislike, maybe the presents would be a distraction. These days I'm really craving chocolate--I think that would be the best gift. Normally, my family would get together, eat good food, do karaoke (don't you just love confirmed stereotypes about Asians?) and get presents. But I care more about the food these days.

Ever since I've been in the hospital, my outlook on life has changed. yeah me too, when I got this lowback injury and went through an among of pain, my view on life changed. Its just sad that we all need to suffer and lost everything to finally see what is really worth to be alive and too see the most important thing is your family. For Chrismas, I dont have money so im gonna cook foods for them, like swedish meatballs, they liked those when we went together at ikea. My mom asked me to do.

can i have some, karro? haha. yeah, and about our weather, it's cool to be in 80-degree weather only because we can showoff to the idiots back east who say we're crazy. haha. but to be honest, i love cold and rainy days. they make me feel "warm" inside. and like chas said, the holidays should be about spending time with family. and more then receiving presents i like giving. this year i made extra prints of photos and prints for my friends. hope they like them, if not, tough shit. haha.
