You know how sometimes when you go to a show and (normally) the headlining band will have an intro to their set? (Sometimes opening bands will have one too) Which are the best ones you've seen? If you could also describe an intro you'd like to see, go for it.
Bald Vulture (a local band) opened for Face To Face back in 2000 and they had some sort of dramatic opera music playing for a good 2, 3 minutes. It was a very common opera song and at a certain beat, the lights would start to come up and the members would throw their fists in the air rhythmically (that was a little cheesy but it worked!)
Tiger Army or Roger Miret and The Disasters or Lars Frederiksen and The Bastards (one of them) played a minute of Nancy Sinatra's "These boots are made for walkin'" I don't know if it had been "between sets"music or if it was part of the intro. Either way it was still good.
Bouncing Souls used the most common music theme that comes to mind when we think of cowboys and Western movies. Then they broke out into "Hopeless Romantic".
Good Riddance used an audio clip of two people having a conversation. It either came from a movie or something they made up themselves.
The kind of an intro I would like to see is a band coming out while the beginning to the first guitar riff of "Deceptacon" by Le Tigre is playing on the speakers. I would love to see that! Most people have heard this song if they went to a club or bar this past year or last year. If you haven't heard it yet, it's electro pop music and it's a very very catchy song.

I haven't seen them, but I know that Five Iron Frenzy had an awesome intro on their farewell tour. it was like this powerful choir, it's called something, and video counting down from 5-1. it was cool, I saw it on video.

Classic opening of Larzon: No Cigar. This drum beat is so powerful.
And Alkaline Trio. This "Church opening" like the first song of their last Album " Good Mourning"

Lemme see here... Metallica of course, The Ecstasy of Gold on the PA, then the intro to Fight Fire With Fire, Battery or Blackened over the PA, THEN into the song. I think my favourite out of those is FFWF. Brutal. Judas Priest, The Hellion over the PA, into Electric Eye. Yeah! Iron Maiden...wow, loads. The Ides of March/Wrathchild, Murders in the Rue Morgue with the intro through the PA, Where Eagles Dare leadtheme/Where Eagles Dare, Churchill's Speech/Aces High, Blade Runner Theme/Caught Somewhere in Time, Moonchild with the acoustic intro over the PA, First Knight Theme/The Wicker Man. My favourite out of those is probably Churchill's Speech/Aces High on the World Slavery Tour 84/85. Best fucking introtape ever. I'm a metalhead in case you wondered. Sum 41 had a cool one on the DTLI Tour too, some weird shit then into Mr Amsterdam, the Offspring had the Duke Nukem Theme and Bad Habit a few years ago. They did Neocon/The Noose when I saw in March, that was darn cool too.

No Cigar intro for sure, I don't think that many bands think about the openings that much today, it's great to have a sweet intro!
