Once upon a time there was a punk band named Reset. They were one of Montreal's pride and joy to the punk scene. Highly praised and respected from both fans and fellow bands. Years go by and suddenly, Reset became a band that faded into the background and almost became forgotten. Eventually, the band fell apart.
A little while after this horrific breakup, a new so called punk band entered the Montreal scene. Instant negative reactions surfaced. Many were shocked when they later found out they were a reincarnation of Reset. How could this be? These two bands were nothing alike! There was only member who had been replaced but the rest were the same members as Reset's.
Reset has no longer been forgotten due to everyone mourning the good music they had provided our scene with. The fact that Simple Plan had to bring about the pleasant memory of Reset was all it took to no longer be a forgotten band. It was a blessing in disguise gone completely wrong. (Did that make sense?)
Seriously, download some Reset stuff. My favorite song is "My dream and I" and the majority of their songs are awesome. You won't be disappointed. I promise.
Where did they go wrong?! Some people have this slogan and it's "Simple Plan, please Reset back." Seriously, they really should.

For my personal experience, we didnt really like them in Saguenay back then. We threw them things when they played as Reset in La Baie together with "Son of a Bite". We ALL thought they were arrogant pricks. Even 8 years ago, they got this attitude. I think it was their last time as Reset in my region. They never came back. We never wanted them to come back. I prefer them more as Simple Plan now cause they are a less intimate band. I can't say farer of me tho cause I interviewed Pierre at Warped Tour 2003..

There's nothing worse than an egotistical band. I met Jeff. I don't know if he was in Reset (there's only one member who was replaced) but I know he's in Simple Plan. Jeff was really cool. I don't like Pierre though. I haven't met the rest.

I met them all but its Pierre who did the interview with us. I cant remember which one is Jeff tho. I guess Pierre was symphatic with us cause we are journalists and he wants to preserve his image.

Of course! When you're a journalist a band or any sort of celebrity will kiss your ass so that you won't drag their name in the mud.

My cousin who is a classic musician did his studies with Jeff. He knows him really well and said that when he heard him in Simple Plan it was really unexpected.

I agree with chas! Reset were a good band! and they had to reform into something shit like Simple Plan... just plain sucks. I dont care if their attitudes sucked when they were Reset.. at least they were making good music.
