I'm looking for an awesome web designer. I need it to look professional (of course), organized, functional and stylish. If you contact me, I'll provide more details as to what designs I'm leaning towards. I also need someone to do it for a reasonable price since I am poor. I was also wondering, how much is a .org domain?

I was also wondering, how much is a .org domain? For my parents' company, we bought a .net on www.domainpeople.com . Since a .net is the same price as a .org, it would be 35$ USD per year. If you want to pay less, a .ca is 14.95$ USD per year. And for a webdesigner, you know I'm there if you don't find someone else.

You can buy a domain name (.org) for 8.95/year USD here: www.godaddy.com/ but i recommned you to buy the domain name, together with the webspace provider, to avoid transfer issues, i recommend you these webspace's providers, very cheap and very high capacity: www.microterra.net/main.php?at=webhosting (check the three service plans and prices at the bottom) www.hostingplex.com/I've tried the first one and it works really fine, i haven't tried the second one, 'cos only is availble for USA and Canada Im not an awesome web designer, but if you need any help count with me, i might be flexible with the price according with your budget

Thanks for the links. I don't know if I looked hard enough but I was wondering what would happen if I were to register both a .org and a .com domain and only use the .org for public purposes? Please tell me about this webspace provider business. I know nothing about having a website.

The type of hosting you need depends mostly on what you want to put on your website. If, for example, you want a small and basic website with no fancy stuff, you can stick with a really cheap webhosting (or even free, I know that your Internet provider often provides a small webspace for free, do you have Sympatico or Videotron?).
But if you want to host big files, then you need alot of webspace. If you want to have a blog, or a forum, or anything that requires a "dynamic" website, you need PHP/ASP hosting. Those costs a bit more, but you can find something good at around 60$ CAD/yr.
