I guess in the 12 weeks to come, we will be over analysing and commenting on Kingwood songs.
So lets start with Biftek Supernova!
First, I found this song of a really weird tonality. I wasnt sure of what to think about the song. I'm liking it or not? But more I'm listening to it more the song is growing on me. The lyrics are not that easy to figure it out but they seem very funny. Its like a story told at night before someone is going to sleep. I really like the way nikola sings in that song. It emphasize on the mystery of this song: "Who is hiding underneath that dress?". The back vocals give a intriguing tone to the song. They lyrics are very in the Nikola's range, giving image on the words like he is always doing that perfectly (worthing a Penguins& Polarbear/Fox comparaison). Try yourself to make a song rhyme with "A" so perfectly. The supernova methaphore is very unique. Like the guy is losing fame. He is disapearing little by little. I dont know why it makes me think of a guy listening to ska. Probably cause of this: "dancing in a trench coat, hat and vest". This song could be some Tim Burton story also or those Batman series song stuff, speaking especially of the back vocals. "They call you supernova, did you hear something tonight?" The riffs are very energic, they throw it all in a perfect chord. That has beat. That song in general is very special and different from the usual Millencolin style. Great effort.

I'm still hesitating of giving it a 4 or a 5. Musically, it would deserve a 5 but it's just that it'S not my kind of song usually. So many more songs from Kingwood deserve a 110% rating. I will think. Maybe with the booklet lyrics once in my hands, I will figure easier.

A 3 from me. Nothing special, no real hook. Not to my ears anyways.

I LOVE IT! ;D I really can't put my finger on it but there is something that is so magical about the song and that keeps bringing me back to listening to it. I think I like the chorus best and the "cilmax" of the song (I don't know the musical term for it). I really have to thank Millencolin for making the mp3 available since I had been wondering about the song for quite awhile.

yeah, there is a true magic in that song. That is why I say that could make the soundtrack of one of these movies. It's magical and mysterious at the same time.
