What was the Thrice forum like? I can imagine there were a bunch of idiots there. I used to go to the Lagwagon board a lot but sometimes I can't deal with the stupidity there. It's great when everyone's joking around--you can get some really great laughs when you're there--but there was a lot of harrassment which was not cool. I know it's the internet but sometimes you just don't feel like having to deal with that. We don't have idiots like that in this forum because we don't allow it and there's a ton of mods anyway to keep it under control.  |

What was the Thrice forum like? First, I encountered this bunch of idiots that have an incredible amount of posts and are there 24/24. All they had to say was crap and they made no sense. All the post you give they quote you with a crap respounce below. If you say that you like Millencolin, they start this sellout pussy thingy and they follow you everywhere on the forum to say that Millencolin blows. They also call you retarded cause English isnt your first language and they give you no breaks about. Beside those annoying heavy stains, you got those hardcore christians that posts all over and over this forum cause Thrice are fellowship christians and they go to church every week. Everyone knows how christians dont respect believes from others and they cant ever respect the other categories of Christian beside themselves (protestants). If you read Harry Potter, you are evil for them cause it promotes all this esoteric stuff (I notice that Dustin Thrice's singer was reading THe Goblin of Fire in plus - Those stupid arses). They start to exhaust me cause I believe in many esoteric stuff and that I was the only non-hardcore christian there capable to argue their narrow view on the world. When I showed them the living proof of reincarnation into their precious Holy Bible itself, they never had something to answer me though. People there were a bit ignorants of what is going on beside what they learned at their christian schools. And tertio, there is so many people on this board that you lose the thread of ideas pretty fast. If you missed one day, you lost all the sense of it. |

But sometimes there are threads that are ok, and sometimes even really good. Like when someone posts a song or something. Now. Kingwood is the new name of the album. |

I think a lot of forums/message boards are bad. You ask a question and people start calling you a fag and start insulting you. Where do people get off doing this? Especially with Karro's case where she told the Thrice message board that her first language wasn't english and the other members called her retarded. And some Americans wonder why the world hates them.

I'm not going to say I hate Americans because most of my relatives live in the US, my best friend lives in California and a lot of amazing bands are American and also the lovely fUx0r is American.
However, I do resent a lot of the attitude Americans (not all!) have.

Aren't You American? haha, yeah. i'm mexican by heritage, but american by nationality (since i was born here). and thanks for the kind words, chas... hmm. there's no smilie with a hug, but i'll just replace it with this: *hug* . anyways, i understand why people outside the US develope this anger that's directed towards us; and a lot of it is justified. trust me, a lot of the times i find myself in opposition to the mainstream crowds here. |
